🩹 Recovery and What to Expect
Recovery time depends on the type of surgery, the size/location of the hernia, and your overall health, but most people can go home the same day (outpatient procedure).
General Post-Procedure Guidelines:
Activity: Rest when tired, but walk daily to boost circulation and prevent complications. Avoid heavy lifting and strenuous activity for usually 4 to 6 weeks, or as directed by your surgeon.
Pain Management: Pain or soreness around the incision is normal for the first few days and can be managed with prescribed or over-the-counter pain medication.
